Major Theme Park and Motion Picture Studio:

We worked on several hardware and software project in support of the companies world wide theme parks. These project included network control of robotic rides, electronics to control and sense ride activity, and software and electronics used in testing and ride safety.

FutureFlo Systems (now Amway):

FutureFlo System makes water purifiers and flow measurement equipment. They were purchased by AmWay in 1997. AppliTech assisted them in setting up their production, and quality test equipment. We designed and implemented software for several of their test and quality assurance stations, and designed a manufacturing shop-floor tracking and inventory system.

Rancho Technology: John Fobel, Vice President (909)987-3966

Rancho Technology makes SCSI disk controllers and single to differential SCSI converters. AppliTech wrote a UNIX host adapter driver for Rancho's RT1000 SCSI host adapter. We just finished redesigning Rancho's single to differential SCSI converter. Their old product used analog filtering and signal switching. Our new design uses an ACTEL programmable gate array and does digital filtering and signal switching to adhere with the SCSI II specification.

Methode of California:

Trace Instruments (a division of Methode) is a leader in Bare Board Testers. AppliTech is assisting Trace in the development of their next generation "bed of nails" testers. The work includes the design and programming of an 80C188EB processor board, firmware programming of a Trace's proprietary custom controller, and analog measurement circuit design.

Western Digital Corporation: Dan Golowka, Project Manager

AppliTech designed a sophisticated servo demodulator test system for use on Western Digital Servo Writers to insure perfectly written servo pattern on their high-end hard disk drive products.

CMX Systems Inc.: Jack Kurdock (203)269-3700

CMX manufactures laser positioning equipment and servo writers for the disk drive industry. We design three key components for their servo writer: a positioner laser servo system, a servo pattern generator, and a spindle motor servo controller. All three of these boards used TMS320C31 Digital Signal Processors, and Xilinx FPGA's. The boards are ISA bus cards.

AppliTech designed a SCSI device driver for Windows. The driver supported Initiator and Target operations simultaneously using a Symbios SYM53c810 PCI SCSI processor. The driver allowed a Xerox ultra-high speed page printer to add a color dye back-end module. The high speed printer communicated with a special PC based translator via the SCSI buss. The translator converted the printers raster images to bitmap format and sent them to the color back-end via the SCSI buss.

Rehab Data is a service bureau that provides insurance companies with account screening services. We designed and implemented a data base management system used to review California Workers Compensation case invoices submitted to Rehab by rehabilitation providers. The system screens the invoices for correctness and appropriateness based on the California statutes for Workers Compensation reimbursements. The system was written in C++ and uses the Paradox database.

QCM is a developer of radar, environmental impurity sensors, and impurity sensors used in space exploration. We have provided QCM with schematic capture, and PCBA layout services, and engineering support.
